GINO (CO-FOUNDER)

Character description:

GINO (late 20s) - German-Brazilian comedy writer and stand up comedian. 6'3" tall, 6'5" in heels. Wears differently colored jackets but always the same black pants.

He looks like the kind of guy who

would have bullied you in high school, but was actually the one getting bullied. His face screams low tenacity, but his résumé says otherwise.

After studying screenwriting in the US, Gino tried breaking the NYU stereotype - but failed - by working in advertising and moving to Berlin. 6 years later and he's planted himself into the Berlin comedy scene as a performer and writer. After managing Ma's Comedy Club for several years, Gino hit the road and started performing all over Europe, including at the American Stand Up Tour and the Hamburg International Comedy Festival 8 times. He's worked with Annex88, Publicis, Paramount+, Comedy Central, and Jägermeister just to name a few... because he really hates name-dropping. What he does love is hosting comedy shows, writing roast jokes, and iron deficiency pills.

CHRISTOPH(CO-FOUNDER)

Character description:

CHRISTOPH (late 30s) - Overweight, balding, a calm bundle of anxiety, whatever that means.

Born and raised in the faraway lands of Venezuela, he left his Caribbean life behind and came all the way to Berlin to live the dream as a standup comedian and writer, trading in that careless smile for a good old German frown.

He has worked for various ad agencies and production firms, writing copy, pitches and coffee orders on napkins. He also has worked as a TV writer for the Comedy Central “Roast Battle”, the sketch show “Was ich eigentlich sagen wollte” and Bayern Munich’s “World Squad”.

Besides writing he has performed all over the place but you can mostly find him in Berlin where he also co-runs the "Roast Battle Berlin" and the "Comedy Suicide Squad".

BEN (PARTNER)

Character description:

ben-website.png

BEN (mid-end 30s), was at a point where he thought he wrote enough of these self description but here we go!) -

Prides himself in being a founding member of the Berlin Standup-Comedy Scene. Back in the day, he founded his own mic, started the first Roast Battle in Germany and even left Berlin to tour around Germany.

Soon it became clear that his talents are most wanted behind the scenes (had nothing to do with the optics, I swear) and he brought the Roast Battle from the back rooms of some smokey Berlin bars to the shining lights of television.

Ben was headwriter and producer of 6 Seasons of Roast Battle for Comedy Central and is doing the same for the first season on JOYN and ProSieben.

Over the years he proved himself to be a reliable head writer, working for plenty of sketch shows like the Comedy Central Viral Hit "Mini Mocks" or the very first Amazon Freevee Original: "Jokah & Tutty", which he developed and was responsible for as Head Writer.

So all in all - an experienced comedy writer who just realized how long he has been doing this comedy thingy while writing this bio.

FREDDI

Character description:

FREDDI (40s) - a comic and a writer, still trying to fit in with the cool kids, sometimes trying too hard. She’s German, but not too German, and sometimes sports a Valley girl accent. If you want to know the whole story, watch her comedy special on YouTube (seriously tho).

On stage, Freddi’s comedy displays the kind of friendly arrogance that makes her immediately endearing. As a screenwriter, Freddi has been in writer’s room for everything from late night sketches to dramedies and reality formats (Shapira! Shapira!, Fett & Fett and Meine Neue Freundin). Her love language is silly-sarcastic-smart-ass and, being a white middle-class woman, she is obviously into meditation, but tries to not be an asshole about it.

PAVLO

Character description:

PAVLO (mid-30s) - tidy, polite, quiet; thinks he's wittier than he really is.

Originally from Ukraine, Pavlo has been living in Berlin since 2015. You can tell he's well assimilated into the local culture by his black clothing, spoken German level A2, and complaints that Berlin is not what it used to be like when he first moved here.

In Ukraine, Pavlo worked in various media and ad agencies as a journalist, copywriter, and screenwriter. In Germany, he already contributed to numerous projects on Comedy Central, wrote an episode for ZDFneo, and collaborated with major YouTube channels as a comedy author. Additionally, he successfully completed the renowned program for writers/producers Serial Eyes (2021-22). Currently, Pavlo is co-/developing a number of concepts across various genres, from sitcoms to dramedy.

When not working or performing stand-up, Pavlo can be found watching/creating content, riding a bike, or writing about himself in the third person much like now.
